Late Night Thoughts.

Can't sleep, woot woot. For my latest scholarship, I have to submit a portfolio, mood board, 2-3 page essay and design concepts. So tonight I was working on a mood board, which consists of me grabbing every fashion mag I own, some scissors and putting a good movie in. While thumbing through some inspiration, I felt like discussing some trends with you guys. However, first I'd like to tell you all the so called "trends" I wish would crawl up in ball and die. 1- Saggy pants. As Joan Rivers said about the Beibs, guys look as though they've crapped themselves. 2- Stupid yoga pants in public. 99% of the time you Victoria's Secret obsessive freaks don't even do yoga. >:( Oh and honey don't even get me started on the yoga shorts in public.. 3- Dressing for spring when it's snowing. At least wear a coat, please. 4- Short, too-small-too-tight skirts. And number five: FREAKING UNNECESSARY HUNTING CAMO IN PUBLIC. No explanation needed. Now on a brighter note, my fav trends lately. 1- definitely a shorts suit. Dying over matching floral shorts and pants suits right now. 2- not quite my absolute favorite but it's still pretty up there, camo. Yes. I know, confusing. But I mean like vintage army camo. Not the kind you'd throw on to go murder an animal for dinner. 3- Ahh! Black and white! So fresh, so sharp. So classic. 4- I'm reeeaally into throwing my light trench over everything before I walk out the door. I highly, highly suggest investing in one. It can pull together and polish off almost any outfit. And finally five: Can you say loafers? So comfy! Add statement pair to a simple jeans-and-tee outfit, throw on a scarf and some sunnies and you're ready! See the previous 'Springy' post for a collage I did! All items under $50!!

Oh my sweet baby Jesus. I am sorry I haven't posted in almost a month.. I've been so busy I'm sorry! I've seriously written like four or five posts on the bus then I forget to post them. Half of them of me rambling anyway. On the bright side, here I am! So just going to update you all on what's been happening in my glamorous life. First, I got all my fabric for my prom dress, got my adorbs prom date and I bought my prom shoes last weekend! Second, huge news.. I submitted my prom dress sketches for a scholarship and whaddup! I'm a finalist!! I'm representing the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in Nationals! How crazy?!? Third, I'm heading down to Pittsburgh this weekend for a college exploration day or something like that. My head has been all over the place with homework and scholarships and laundry and work and ugh! I'm so exhausted and I woke up two hours ago! It's 8:45 as I'm writing this, btw. Gotta go work on my prom dress, I promise I'll be posting more!!
